Can CSK do it???

What an amazing match it was yesterday!!! A smashing victory for CSK against DC. Two eyes were not enough for me to see that match. Though the batting of CSK initially seemed to be not that good, they made a decent total of 142. And still I had no hope that CSK would win the match. I knew that my thought is totally wrong once they started to field. I was stunned to see the aggressive bowling by CSK guys and surprised by aggressive fielding pattern on the ground. Dangerous guy Bollinger’s 4/13 is the best bowling figure by any player in the Semi-final of a tournament(The previous best was of Anil Kumble who did 4/16). No doubt…they outplayed DC in all the departments. Poor Gilly seemed to have mistaken it for a test match. What a standing by the two openers!!! So this must be the worst ever game for DC against any team in the IPL Semifinal.

And now having made a more or less miraculous win against DC, CSK is all set for the Final battle against MI who happened to be the hot favourites of the tournament. The question is Whether or not CSK can flush out the superstition from the minds of a few people that IPL is only for Blues(RR and DC are the winners of IPL-1 and IPL-2 respectively). Well there’s a chance for MI because it happens to be the homeground of Mumbai guys. But one probable twist for MI may be that there’s not 100% guarantee that the skipper Sachin would play the Final match having injured during the 1st semi-final. But I think he will never miss the chance of playing in a crucial match like this at any cost. His absence may completely shift the favour towards CSK because there’s no other efficient skipper for MI currently who could guide the team to a splendid performance as Sachin does. But,however, none can predict the winners in this mysterious game-Cricket especially in T20 format. RCB deserved to be the champions this time. But they are quite unlucky. Not so early though. They still have chances to occupy the Third place for Champions League. And so do DC. I wish them Good Luck.

Update :

Yes they did it!!! It happened to be a great day for me and I enjoyed it more than what I had expected. Not just because Chennai Super Kings made a miracle in the home ground of Mumbai Indians, but also for the reason that my Demi-God,The Mozart of Madras, A.R.Rehman performed during the Closing ceremony of the tournament yesterday. Mumbai made a couple of huge mistakes having dropped the catches of Suresh Raina, who later turned to be the match-winner. But I guess, such things can happen in any game especially when there’s such tough competition. Even Chennai had given them so many lives. So we can’t blame anyone. Overall result-thats just what we need to see. I think one more huge mistake that Sachin did in yesterday’s match is not having sent Pollard(a dangerous hitter) to bat until it was too late and the match was beyond their hands. By the time he came into the crease the required run rate was already too high(around 18 p.o). So ultimately Chennai Super Kings are the unbeaten champions of this year’s IPL. Good thing to know. No doubt, Happy days for me….And congratulations for RCB for having qualified for Champions League T20 who undoubtedly deserve to be the champions.

P.S : Found this Youtube video of a cute and smart little girl in one of my friends’ Orkut profile. Clean bowled by her fascinating talk. You too must watch this.
